The primary focus of Joseph’s litigation practice is a full range of real estate litigation and dispute resolution services involving boundary line disputes, easements, trespass, nuisance, evictions, purchase and sale agreement disputes, cloud on title issues, adverse possession, and other quiet title claims. Joseph’s significant litigation practice also encompasses tax controversy, complex trust and estate litigation, including TEDRA (Trust Estate Dispute Resolution Act) matters, breach of contract claims, CPA (Consumer Protection Act) claims, business owners’ disputes, construction disputes, mechanics’ liens, builders’ warranty issues, and disputes involving intellectual property.
The primary focus of Joseph’s tax controversy practice involves representing clients in federal tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service, both at an administrative level, including the IRS Appeals, and in the U.S. Tax Court.

Professional And Educational Background:
Joseph brings a unique blend of finance, accounting, tax law, and technology skills to his business clients. Joseph earned his law degree from Willamette University College of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation (Master of Laws) from the University of Washington. Joseph graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, double-majoring in Finance and Management of Information Systems. Joseph also has significant experience in working with healthcare delivery professionals and he is familiar with the daily operations of most major hospital departments.
In his free time, Joseph enjoys being active in the great outdoors, volunteering, and visiting national parks. Joseph particularly enjoys hiking, tennis, racquetball, golf, cycling, swimming, white-water rafting, cooking, live music, theater, symphony, practicing yoga, and exploring the local arts and culinary scene. Joseph speaks fluent Russian.
